AUSTRALIANS have honoured the sacrifice of our service men and women at hundreds of Anzac Day ceremonies held throughout the country and around the world.

Across Australia, hundreds of thousands of people have attended services in cities and regional communities, including over 10,000 at the Hills ANZAC Dawn Service held by the Castle Hill RSL Sub-Branch.

Federal Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, welcomed the Turnbull Government’s announcement of the Western Sydney City Deal to build a heavy rail line to Western Sydney Airport.

“This announcement will be fantastic news for our community because the Government will ensure a heavy rail line from Rouse Hill to the Western Sydney Airport”, said Alex Hawke.

Federal Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, welcomes the latest employment data released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, which shows a decrease in the unemployment rate in Mitchell.

The suburb of Castle Hill saw a significant drop in the unemployment rate from 5.2% in December 2016 to 3.3% in the December 2017 quarter, while Bella Vista decreased from 4.3% to 2.6% in the same period.

“I am very pleased the unemployment rate in Mitchell is well below both the state and national averages.” Alex Hawke said.
