Federal Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, has encouraged students, researchers and professionals in Mitchell to apply for a share of up to $119 million in funding as part of the Morrison Government’s new Endeavour Leadership Program. Applications for the program are now open.

“The program offers a once in a lifetime opportunity for students in Mitchell to study or conduct research at leading institutions in Australia and around the world,” Alex Hawke MP said.

The Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, encourages residents of the Hills district to have their say into the Royal Commission into the aged care sector through an online feedback tool.

This Royal Commission will primarily look at the quality of care provided in Residential and Home Aged Care for senior Australians, but also include young people with disabilities living in Residential Aged Care settings.

Federal Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, says not-for-profit organisations in Mitchell can now apply for $5 million worth of grants to help migrants better integrate into Australian life.

The Commonwealth Government’s Fostering Integration Grant Program will support the delivery of one-off projects and new or expanded initiatives that encourage economic and social participation of new arrivals, including activities that promote employment and participation in the broader community.

Federal Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, has called on community organisations in Mitchell to apply for a share of up to $20 million in funding to support the efforts of their volunteers.

Alex Hawke said applications for the Volunteer Grants round were now open.

“Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 will help community organisations in Mitchell buy equipment such as laptops, pay fuel costs, train volunteers and improve their fundraising,” Alex Hawke said.

The Federal Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, is encouraging local community organisations in Mitchell to submit an expression of interest for funding under the Stronger Communities Programme.

The Stronger Communities Programme, announced in this year’s Budget, will deliver $150,000 for the electorate of Mitchell to fund capital projects which deliver social benefits.
