The Australian Government has launched the new voluntary coronavirus app, COVIDSafe.

The app is an important public health initiative that will help keep you, your family, and your community safe from further spread of coronavirus through early notification of possible exposure.

Member for Mitchell, the Hon Alex Hawke MP, said everyone in North West Sydney is doing an extraordinary job to flatten the curve and contain the spread of the coronavirus, but we cannot be complacent.

Australians are being encouraged to honour the service and sacrifice of our veterans and serving Defence personnel on ANZAC Day from home this year by watching the nationally broadcast Dawn Service from the Australian War Memorial and participating in the RSL’s #LightUpTheDawn campaign.

The Australian Government has announced a $130 billion JobKeeper payment which will help keep Australians in jobs. This payment brings the Government’s total economic support for the economy to $320 billion.

Our Government is continuing to act on reducing the rate of increase of COVID-19. Australia has one of the most rigorous coronavirus testing systems in the world with more than 238,000 tests completed. The rate of increase in the virus curve is slowing.
