Network Providers are closing their 3G networks, Telstra on 30 June and Optus in September 2024, with Vodaphone have commenced the switch off since December 2023.

Importantly some older 4G devices may also be impacted by the 3G closure and emergency calls may be affected if your device is not upgraded.  For further information and list of other providers closure timeframes and devices impacted, please view the 3G closure fact sheet.

Youth crime is out of control in many parts of our country and more needs to be done to combat it.

This week, the Federal Coalition introduced the Crimes and Online Safety Legislation Amendment (Combatting Online Notoriety) Bill 2024 into Parliament that seeks to crack down on youth crime by making it illegal to post social media material that glamorises violence and criminal activity.

Warren ‘Woz’ Acott has Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and in spite of huge personal difficulty, last week he completed parts of the 800km journey on his ride on mower from Toolleen Victoria, to Parliament House, Canberra to raise awareness for people with MND everywhere. He is an incredible champion!
