Queen’s Birthday 2022 Honours: Locals recognised for outstanding contribution

Congratulations to the following recipients in Mitchell who were recognised in the Queen’s Birthday 2022 honours list:

Awarded a Member (AM) in the General Division were:

  • Clinical Professor Sameer Bhole AM for significant service to dentistry, to education and research, and to professional associations.
  • Professor Phoebe Anne Phillips AM for significant service to pancreatic cancer research.
  • Mr Lloyd William Taylor AM for significant service to policing organisations, and as an officer.
  • Doug Walters AM, former Test player for significant service to cricket at an elite level.

Awarded a Medal (OAM) in the General Division were:

  • Mr James Butler OAM for service to people with cancer.
  • Mr Robert Henry Gardiner OAM of Castle Hill for service to the community through a range of roles.
  • Mr James William Whitworth OAM of West Pennant Hills NSW 2125 for service to the aviation industry.
  • Brian Walters OAM from Cherrybrook for service to veterans through a range of roles, including numerous roles with Castle Hill RSL sub-branch.

 

  • Rosemary Davidson PSM for outstanding public service to the Children’s Court of New South Wales
