Bondi

All of our hearts are heavy following the tragic and devastating terror attack at Bondi. We mourn the lives lost and pray for the victims, their families, and all those who have been affected by this terrible act of violence.

We give thanks for the bravery and selflessness of first responders, medical staff, and everyday Australian hero's  who acted with courage and compassion and risked their lives for the safety of others.

The actions of each of the Aussie hero's at Bondi are the true Australian spirit and deserve our highest recognition.

Violence has no place in our society. No one has he right to initiate force in Australia. While investigations continue, it is vital that we support one another, reject fear, and remain united as a community grounded in compassion, resilience, and care for our neighbours.

At times of darkness, it is our shared humanity, our kindness, strength, and unity that carries us forward.

This sick act of terror has taught Australia a painful hard lesson. That we must never take our safety, freedom and prosperity for granted. As a nation we must always remain vigilant and do everything within our power to keep our country safe.

There must be and will be hard questions to ask our Government's in coming days. We must examine and understand what has happened and why. And take the strongest action we can to stop further attacks, risks to our safety and anti-semitism.

Rest assured I will be asking those questions and demanding the answers on your behalf. It is the first responsibility of the Government to protect the basic safety of its citizens.

And the Government and its agencies have failed to protect its law abiding citizens in this most deadly terror attack on Australian soil.

Just last week I raised the issue of returning radicalised ISIS brides and the Albanese government's secrecy. Given we now know a potential link with terror group ISIS and the Bondi terror attack, it is even more vital that we urgently take seriously the issue of radical Islam and ISIS propaganda and any sympathisers of this great evil here in Australia.

On your behalf I will continue to do just that and stand with the Jewish Australian community in this darkest hour.
